This is new work by Nancy Raasch. Nancy comes from a background of design work, and has been making jewelry for at least a decade. Most of her recent work involves handmade paper which she dyes and shapes into various forms. Nancy’s work can be seen on Artful Home, where she has been a featured artist and had her work included prominently on their front page and in their printed catalogs, and has been very successful in selling her work nationally. I find her work very stylish. I really like her forms, shapes and colors, and the minimalist approach she employs for much of her work. It is fun to photograph, especially because the shapes an textures give me so many opportunities to play with reflections, highlights, edge-lights and shadows. Enjoy!
