New Ceramics by Linda & Jim Dalton

These are new jury images I just shot for the Daltons.  I love shooting their work, first, because it is so excellent, and second, because they are such great people!  Jim and Linda’s work is constantly evolving, but is always executed at a very high level, both stylistically and technically.  I’ve shot several series of images of Saggar-fired pieces for them which  I really love, and some of which you can find in my ceramics gallery.  But these new pieces represent a new direction for them, and I think it ought to be very successful.  Really nice forms, great style, beautiful color combinations in the clay and glazes, lots to like here!  I would also note that I’m really loving working with the newest XRite color management system, which really takes the guesswork out of reproducing these types of subtle color gradations and variations.  We were all very happy with these images at the end of the day!
